You can use about any 2 stroke according to everything that has been posted on the various sites. But the most reccomended is still just plain ole cheap 2Cycle. No additives, not synthetic, outboard or snowmobile. Just plain old 2 cycle oil.

If you talk to your friendly neighborhood Walmart store they can get it in the gallon sizes of their generic brand in the blue bottle and it's about the cheapest you will find. Most stores only stock the outboard version so they will need to order the plain stuff unless you get lucky and find one of the few stores that do stock it.

Just the regular stuff is fine. No need to go to synthetic. Make sure it says TCW-3 because thats the ashless stuff. The regular Supertech stuff from Walmart works fine Ed.

I run an OZ. per Gal. of fuel I put in. I also noticed my 7.3 PSD is quieter, gained alittle MPG's and a tad extra smoke. The PSD love 2 stroke juice. Sixpack

Just to add my 2 cents, Iv been using the Walmart stuff for about six months on my 05 and havent noticed any real increase in mileage.
I have noticed it idles quieter than it did.
Also every third or forth tankful, along with the 2 stroke, I add 10 oz Power Service to keep everything clean.

Well guys for those of you that are mixing anthoer additive to 2 cycle oil... Make sure the additive has a LOWER HFRR score than the 2 Cycle oil... Other than that your shooting yourself in the foot...

Red -> Failed mixture it will cause MORE WEAR to your fuel system!
Yellow -> It meets the minimum standard. <520 HFRR
Green -> It Meets and exceeds both gov't and manufactures specs. <460 HFRR

Something to consider for you guys that continue to use PS with 2 Cycle Oil... All your doing is duluting the oil out...
