Default Question?

I have read every post on 2 stroke oil. The only thing I have noticed is that all post are cummins. I have found one post by a psd owner and he soon had hpop leaks. Is there anyone here that can testify on using 2so on psd. I am current running power service with octane booster at double the suggestd amount.

I have a 2000 Watt inverter installed on mine, maybe an AC heater pad hooked into that, if you want to install an inverter.

Yeah, -60 is tough on EVERYTHING. If your truck gets cold soaked at that temp, you can jump in the drivers seat and actually crack / break the leather. I tried to close the last flap on my radiator cover after driving 25 minutes into work, and in just that short amount of time the fabric got so cold and stiff that I broke it in two when I tried to close it. And that's after keeping it in the garage all night before leaving for work. The parasitic drag on the front diff is so great after a day at work that you have to put the truck in 4 wheel drive or your rear tires will spin on level ground while your fronts will drag just from the diff fluid being so cold. I use full synthethic and have the problem. My boss uses Ams-Oil and has the same problem. Only a heating pad on the diff will fix it. Lift the hood on our trucks and you will notice a power-strip slammed full of plugs that go to all of our various heating pads with a single cord hanging out the grill like a tongue. We have no parking meters up here, everything is a post in the ground with outlets attached to it, lining the streets. It's either that or keep it running while you shop, which most people do, anyway. Still, I wouldn't change it for the World!
Seems like it would easier to just cover the whole truck with a heavy car cover and just plug in one heater to keep the whole thing from freezin up.

Dood I'm running it in a duramax... If it works on my truck and in Mercedes CDI's and VW TDI's in Europe I'm pretty sure it'll work on your truck.

I should think that WRT leaks, if anything, it would make various parts in the fuel system more "leak resistant."

2 stroke is nothing more then a lubricant! 2 stroke did not cause the hpop to leak.

The only problem i had with 2 stroke is that it makes a damn fine penetrating oil. If you have any fittings at all lose they will be off before ya know it. I have to go through the fuel system once in a while and check for tightness.

I've been running it now for 4 years with ZERO issues or problems. My average MPG is 21-22 MPG with a high mark of 25.3 MPG with 128:1 ratio in every tank. I hardly doubt 2 cycle oil is going to harm you truck or your fuel system...

Truck = 156K on the clock
VP44 = 106K on the clock
2 Cycle Oil = 71K on the clock

Still going stong!

Diesel Power did a fuel additive test Nov issue rusults where from no additives MPG of 14.6 highway/14.1 city adv mileage on a 97 Power Stroke to 16.3/14.6 on 2 stroke, 17.4/14.4 with Opti-Lube XPD, 17.3/14.9 on FPPF 8+ cetane improver.

Opti Lube did best on the road but the FPPF did a little better all around
