Bio is fine, since you're chemically altering the WVO to run it at lower temps. 2008 is when DPF's started for Ford's, and you can simply get tuning and a DPF delete and run it those motors with no issues.

Do you run black diesel full time or in between tanks of dyno diesel?
I think they started the dpf in tdi's in 06'. A lot of people think you can't run alternative fuels when a vehicle has a dpf but you are correct. All you have to do is delete it and get a tune or chip.
How much WVO compared to #2 diesel do you run? Correct me if I'm wrong but you start and stop on #2 then once the WVO has been heated you switch tanks to the WVO. Example, 80% WVO and 20% dyno diesel?

Correct, and the % are more drastic than that. Start up is whatever time it takes for the coolant temp to hit 140*... so if I plug it in, switchover time is under a mile sometimes. Purging after shutdown I use diesel in the OUNCE amounts. Obviously short around town trips you're not really going to benefit from it. I drive just a hair under 70 miles a day to and from work (33 miles each way), so it works out great for me. Obviously this setup isn't for everyone. After seeing everything I've seen from 6.0 injectors, I'd almost be scared to even run bio, but I know a lot of guys run it and run it successfully. I just tend to be on the conservative side.

as a side note i do run water injection to keep the carbon deposits at bay, but it doesn't smoke more then diesel so it may not be an issue anyways

i am a mad scientist/do it yourselfer
i dont like to buy anything that i could build myself. just the way i am.
i am currently in the process of replacing my batteries with super-capacitors, adding solar charging and an alternator disconnect switch. but thats a topic for another thread

Pretty cool.
I'd like to see some photos and a parts list if you ever have the time?
Here are a couple of systems that I was looking at. Let me know what you think? One of them is a lot more expensive and I wonder if its worth it?
AEM HD Water/Methanol Injection Kit with 1-Gallon Tank
Snow Performance Boost Cooler Stage-3 MPG-MAX Fuel Economy
I wonder if this is necessary? AEM Water/Methanol Injection Filter 30-3003
