Default Opti-Lube XDP and FPPF Cetane Boost

Has anyone run both of these at the same time, or have any thoughts on it. I've read the XDP is about the best for lubricity but only raises cetane by 3 or 4. The FPPF increases cetane by as much as 8. Running both would increase cetane by at most 12, which couldn't hurt right?

I'm not sure, but I doubt it's a 4+8 kind of deal. I run XPD and the summer/winter blends from opti-lube. I've found no reason to run other stuff on top of it. Is there a reason you feel the need to increase cetane more?

No, still learning about how to keep my truck alive for years to come. I figured maximizing the cetane and lubrication in the fuel, and some rev-x in the oil to clean it up would help. It took me 2 years to get this truck and I plan on keeping it for a while. I had my last truck for 11 years, it died.

Get a fuel pressure gauge, it will prove to be far more important than any additive. As long as you keep 55+PSI to those injectors, they should stay pretty happy. Stay on top of oil changes too, the 6.0 is not one of the motors you want to extend service intervals on. Change oil at 5k miles, and that includes if you're using synthetic.

I have a gauge in the works, EV2. Also, thinking about using Rotella T-6 Synthetic, do you know anything about it?

I'm going to be switching to that oil myself. Been using standard rotella for a while, happy with that too. I also use the EV2 gauge, awesome gauge.
