Default Water in Fuel

I live in WI and travel to my in-laws in NY every year. When I go I try to carry my 100 gal transfer tank with me to save some time and money on the road. This last time like a damn fool I didn't drain it before filling it. Well needless to say it was a very long trip due to the water I got in my trucks tank from the transfer tank. I drove truck for a long time and always swore by Power Service, this time I used enough for 800 gal of fuel and it did nothing. I some how made it over the NY border and when buying more PS and another fuel filter the guy suggested a product called K100. It worked great and got my truck up and running like normal in a matter of minutes. My problem is that it's not available in WI. I've heard there are other thing I can try if this happens in the future but no one can back any of their claims up. Has this happened to anyone here and what have you done, besides draining the tank, to get rid of the water. I should also note that I have spoken to the folks at K100 about being a WI distributer, but why do that if there is a cheaper and easier method.

Thank you all. And feel free to take a jab at me for not draining the tank, I deserve it.
