#1 is ULSD just not the same as #2 it's basically winter only fuel, something i don't think florida has

I never seen any gas station mention #2 but it can get C O L D here in MIAMI, it was 39* a couple of days ago

oh boy it was -39 the other day where i work, before windchill too, and pretty much unless otherwise noted the diesel fuel you buy is gonna be #2, and Bill where up north is the LSD? i want some

I'm told our mix of 70% #2 and 30% #1 is good to -30 below I would think they would sell a 50/50 or 70% #1 and 30% #2 mix in MT. I recall back in 1984 & 85 they sold #2 and a 1 & 2 mix at the truck stops in Billings and Missoula MT.

they do in MT, but i work in ND where it's considerably colder, and I'd say 75%of the stations don't sell #2, and I'm thinkin there's a reason for that

diesel power did a test a few months back on this, their formula ended up being just a little under 3/4 quart in a 35 gallon tank. it does make a fuel mileage differeance as well depending on the truck and driving habits. i run 3/4 of a quart in mine every tank. but im in georgia, its a little warmer here. might wanna research the amounts first. if im correct in my thinking to much oil will just make it smoke more. but, way to much or it not mixed proper can and probably will stop up a filter. you can look this up on diesel powers site im sure.

Not to hijack, BobCat67, but I hear that chicken grease is almost as good as goose grease......
