Has anyone tried making a sort of concoction additive? A dash of 2 stroke and some howes or diesel clean?

Unless I'm completely wrong here and the point of the 2 stroke oil is to avoid paying $12 plus for name brand products

$12plus- you lucky guy!

Europeans are paying in the 22$ range...

Try a 1:200 up to 1:250 mixture.

Sorry to hear that Deezel! You mean mix 2 stroke oil and diesel in a 1:200 ratio? Would it be worth-while to throw a shot of Howes in on top of that?

I'm not a friend of additives- I get my injectors once a year tested.
A good additive is only good enough to maintain the spray pattern. The spray pattern of the injector itself is most important.
So I spend a bit money on filters, fuel and maintenance.
Yes, the ratio 1:200 is most common in europe.

just make sure that your truck doesn't have a DPF, when you add 2 cycle oil.
