Not true- there is no more sulfur diesel available
source: Chevron brochure diesel fuel explained

Bonus question, what's blue diesel primarily used for? Respect for correct answer.
Was stopped because it could be confused with airplane fuel which is dyed blue too.
source : see above
So the myth of different offroad fuel is finally busted- it's all the same it differs only in colour and in additives- because furnace oil needs different additives than road fuel in other words less additives than truck diesel.

i stand corrected indeed. here's another article i found on the EPA website:

A key component of the Highway program is the
80/20 rule -- the “Temporary Compliance Option“.
On an annual basis, a refiner or an importer may
produce or import up to 20 percent its total
highway diesel fuel with a sulfur content of 500
ppm. The remaining 80 percent must meet the 15
ppm standard.

! This temporary rule expires in 2010 -- at which
time, all production/imports of highway diesel fuel
must the 15 ppm standard

Your choice is highlighted in bold. Thanks for trying, please try again.

Actually, they are. Except for posers who never actually go off road, then a lift isn't for performance.

In the early 80's it was true, it could be as high as 500ppm. Today its all ULSD except for rail and marine.

That only means their equipment has to be certified for it, they're all dispensing ULSD even if the sticker still says LSD.
you have no clue, ive ran ATF in everything ive owned and everything runs better and gets better milage, ive done the fuel milage math several times doing the same trips with and without it and it shows 1-3 mpg gain on EVERY vehicle.you call it a placebo but you still CANT prove it doesent help a vehicle.

wheres your tests? wheres your proof it doesent do anything? you say its been proven countless times it doesent do anything then wheres the proof? i see nothing but big words and no backup.

Wow this got heated haha.

Dad and I run nearly the same set-up as the guy in the magazine article. Dad runs 60/40 or higher, and I run 50/50 or lower so as to stretch out our supply. I'm working on getting a 16 gallon oil drum centrifuge built to clear things up even more. Both of the trucks are 95 12 valves, and they both run quieter, and they both consistently turn in better economy numbers after running the used ATF. I wouldn't try it in a CR though, the ATF is a touch thicker than diesel. Dunno how that would go when pressurized to 20k psi

Just DON'T use new ATF in quantity regularly for more than filling a fuel filter. The additives create abrasive crystals when burned. There's a pic of some pretty sick cylinder scarring on the web somewhere.

Sweet. Looks like ill give it a try when I get a 04-05 CR. And as to the non-taxed fuel thing; I see the government having a problem with that soon with all of the WVO'ers running around. That and I think it's Washington state (could be wrong there) that just passed a law protecting guys like us. So now there's precedent if they do try to get you...

I'm just going to say that I will never run ATF through my Cummins. To me it's something that should just stay in automatic transmissions, transfer cases, and powersteering systems. Yes it's made to lubricate, somewhat, but its just not made to burn. If it was made to lubricate and burn, I think they would call it 2-stroke oil instead of Automatic Transmission Fluid.

I can't prove a negative. I would never run trash like ATF through my fuel system so I really can't test it myself. I'm only basing my knowledge on scientific fact and knowledge of chemical interaction.

Dad runs 60/40 or higher, and I run 50/50 or lower so as to stretch out our supply.
I certinly hope you aren't using public roads, otherwise you'd be stealing from all the people paying for the right to use the roads.

So now there's precedent if they do try to get you.
You heard it guys, if you get pulled over and dipped send your lawyer's bills to zjohnsonua!

wow, after reading this thread I just had to join so i could post my reply. While Tengu or forced induction, if they are the same person, may be a D lord, he isn't entirely wrong. Just about the placebo effect and everything else except the ULSD fuel. Im unsure about the marine fuel but I do know that red is fuel without federal taxes added on. There are still state taxes applied but it's still like 36 cents cheaper per gallon. As to the ATF not addingany power or economy, it does. For anyone that wants the proof, look it up on this thing called the internet. There has been a federal study done.
There was oh just a small lawsuit filed against oil additives and fuel additives by the Federal government, EPA or FDA not sure. Z Max has been granted permission to advertise improved economy and better lubrication because in federal studies, it does what it claims so dont buy Slick50 or anything else, they lost which is why you dont see any adds anymore. Iwill post a link to another thread that did a copy paste of one of Many studies that have been donefor this one reason. Also, type in 2 stroke oil in diesel, you will find this website, http://www.johnfjensen.com/Diesel_fu...itive_test.pdf . If this isnt enough to show that even raw motor oil will benefit your economy then what more do you want? tell us what you are looking for.
To say that adding oil has a lower capacitive energy is rediculous. As the refining proccess occurs, the denser oil(which has more molecules) is refined out and not used. This is why JP5 and JP8 make diesels run great. JUST ASK THE US MILITARY who uses JP fuels in all of the diesels that they run. JP fuel is a by product of diesel refining which is a by product of Gasoline refining. You claim to know chemisty but do you really? Where did you get your degree in chemisty from? where did you get your degree in physics from? You have posted nothing to make any one listen to you. Im sorryif im going long and rambling on but it needs to be said. I dont have a degree ineither science but i dohave verygood friends that have degrees from such places as DAVIS univerisy in nor cal and others who are Chemists and physicists for huge componies. My good friend has a double major in physics and enginnering with a minor in chemisty, ill listen to him, specially when his entire life is centered on car and engine development. He has been in touch with countless Formula 1 teams for exhaust development and math equations for development. His tested IQ when he was youngeris 200+ and im not making it up, Hes a real ***** because he pisses everyone off that he knows because he can prove you wrong without trying.
I had a website bookmoarked for years but i cannot find it, there is a guy, he created the site and dedicated it to 2 stroke oil in diesel. He had reciepts and records of every fuel filil up since 1988 when diesel was like 98 cents a gallon. he had the MPG for every tank posted and what additives were used. The 2 stroke got the best mileage and has since around 2003.
2 stroke oil is not an oil,it is a fuel with extreme lubricating properties. Hondasynthetic and yamaha synthetic are both smokless while you can still get the wonderful smell of mineral oil if you want. 2 stoke oil(fuel) is chemically the same as any motor oil or fuel. In fact, motor oil is designed to burn but at a very high temperiture. If it would not burn, engines would not last. Ill post more ifi need to, but i hope this gets someone thinking about the other people out there in the real world, the ones who know what the F there talkign about.

2 Stroke works, do it, I have, either that, or redline diesel catalyst. HRFF is the cetane rating and every diesel additive raises it, yes even motor oil which. ATF has alot of detergents that might harm certian seals sobe careful, but it will not harm the engine or make it run poorly otherwise. Thank you for the time and Long Live Coal Producing Engines. Can i quote ted Nudgent? meh, the song is called "Kiss My ***."
