I really wish someone could show me a bit of proof as to the "stuff" left over in the combustion chamber. Any pics? Any writeups with pics? Guys have been using ATF in the tank since before injector cleaners because they needed something with a high btu, "cleaning" nature and would burn well with diesel. Since before my 31 years this has gone on and the only premature pump failures are the diesel only fellas. You are right.....YOU decide!! I'm not fixing your truck because you didn't run additives and you wouldn't fix mine because I do. Period

Your logic is flawed for 2 reasons (In my opinion) -
1) the ATF that was used 50 years ago, when it was common to dump ATF into a diesel is WAY different that modern day ATF. (as I mentioned before)
2) injector pumps that were used years ago are also COMPLETELY different. The tolerances in modern day injector pumps are much tighter.
Youve got to change with the times man. I guess you really can lead a horse to water.

I wanna see someone dyno their truck with and without it to see the "difference" btw it has no btu rating since it's not meant to be burnt...

Until someone tests ATF against the btu scale, one may never know. Any pre common rail system can burn new ATF or filtered used. It isn't for you modern folk of the 21st century.....or is it?

Alright soooo since reading that, it says nothing about "lubricating" the pump. Just that its used to stretch the almighty dollar at the pump. So since it burns cooler and faster of course the egts will be affected also with that said how can it add any beneficial power when it's not as potent as diesel itself?

ATF is in no way a lubricity additive. Never should have been said. Two stroke oil is potentially but not ATF. I think any power gained would be in the butt dyno. Not actual, but therein lies my original comment:
it should be used for a cleaning additive only.
With that original comment in mind, if someone had a fouled system, it would clean it and more power would be the result; leading one to believe it is a performance additive.
