ATF in Fuel
#14
I've been running WMO and used ATF in my trucks at around a 60-to-1 ratio for over three years now. Both running smooth and quiet, better than ever. Commonrail is getting the best mileage at right around 20mpg in mixed driving.
I think the 1st Gen would probably do that too, if I could keep my foot out of it.

ATF is BAD. This is an old school trucker's trick. But the problem is that the ATF they sell now is not the ATF they used to sell. Todays ATF has all kinds of additives for new transmissions. These additives contain friction modifiers and such which would be hard on the very tight tolerances of todays injector pumps. Dont run this stuff. Use a fuel additive - Powerservice, Stanadyne etc. or TCW-3 2 cycle oil. 2 cycle oil is designed to burn clean and not leave any deposits. AFT is not designed for that.
