Hmmm... I'm already at 21-23 MPG (700-750 miles a tank) now with Petroluem oils... (Exxon XD-3) I hardly doubt I get any gain with a Synthetic...

Seriously if you looking for MPG's there is 2 common factors (Speed and over sized tires). These two things will kill MPG's really quick!

Who is this staff reporter?? Boy have I been in the closet. I've never noticed him/her before.

Ya, at the convention, they were promoting the big 3's.
-up to 3% gain in fuel mileage
-3x the drain interval
-3x less oil wasted

In fact both of the new CJ-4 rated oils, 5W-40 and 15W--40 are guaranteed for 3x the OEM drain interval(max of 50k or 600hrs or 1 year, whichever comes first)

i have used amsoil for several years now and it is worth the money I did a dual remote filter kit on a motorhome and now the guy changes the filters every 20000 miles and adds about 2 or so quarts no more oil changes and it is still just as clean as new

Geez, what the heck did you expect the study to claim.........that Amsoil sucks???? It wasn't an independent study; it was done by them. And before anyone goes off on me..........I do use Amsoil lubricants.......just not their engine oil. I use their MTF, ATF, and gear lube.

Nowhere in that article does it say it was an "Independant Study".
