Rollin your own biofuel?

Experience like what? I'm familiar with a fuel miester type system. My system is a cone bottom poly tank system. What's your question?

i've ran into a couple of guys who work in diesel shops around OK, they have ran into nothing but problems from running it. stuff collecting in the fuel tank and engine problems. i would just keep running regular diesel, i small Bio-mix, no big deal. but the price of a kit at home to make your own, plus getting the stuff. forget it. much better to stick with what has worked for a long time.

I personally do not have much faith in commercial bio's quality.
Too many nightmare stories of problems with it.
Now I do make my own bio, and take pride in producing quality fuel.
If you are going to "roll your own" make sure you are prepared to put the effort into it, short cuts will cost you an IP, or injectors, or maybe even your engine.

where ever you get your wvo, make sure its clean, un-burnt and titrates very low, which you will quickly learn once you get the general gist of making bio-diesel. P.S. stay away from additives!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bio-diesel process is the correct and only way to go. Have made many thousand gallons of beautiful bio!!!

CPS, you shouldnt have any problems with that low of a mix, thats cut pretty good. besides if your above a 1996 your ok, the newer seals are made from viton which is resistant to many solvants including bio!

its really not that difficult.. i did a projec tin HS on it.. you just need to change some lines and some filters and your good to go. making it is another story.. getting the oil, and dropping the (atleast) 5k to get a kit is another story.... i htink its worth it though, but since gas aint so high, id roll with reg. deisel. i think id role with reg. deisel anyway.. i love the black smoke n smell!!!!!
