I just put in a 16oz per fill up. It makes the truck run better. My 07 doesn't like a quart a fillup.

I was thinking of doing the opposite of you- I have Howes, and was going to try Stanadyne's Performance Formula (the blue label, not purple for winter). Which Howes are you referring to? The normal Howes Diesel Fuel Conditioner?

I use the stanadyne performance in the summer, but since it got cold and I found it in my toolbox so thick it wouldn't pour, I use the white bottle Power Service religously. But when it gets warmer, I'll go back to the stanadyne.

As long as its not leaded you'll be fine... Most places don't carry the leaded stuff, but I've found two place around that have it, and I grabbed one bottle of it once. Thank god for the guy at the counter who knew it wasn't what I wanted.

Get the cheap stuff by the gallon. Wal-Mart has good Marine Grade stuff.

Yes just the conditioner for lubrication, I need some thing cheaper than pouring sthe stanadyne in every fill up.

The stanadyne will freeze when not mixed with #2, I have only had one time when my fuel gelled when using stanadyne, it was -16F and Igot a bad batch of fuel with a lot of water in it.
