anyone ever done a compression test on one of these i am having problems with one starting and i suspect low compression is the problem. i cannot find a adapter for it or what they even look like. the fsm aint real descriptive on it. the harbor freight set says it works on most john deere but im not sure if it will fit kinda want to check before i pull the head

you can use compressed air by retrofitting a rubber plug that fits into the injector hole snuggly drilling the center out of your plug just large enough to fit an 1/4 inch pipe into and using two 1/4 pipe nipples and flat washers to mount the pipe to the plug and then use your compressed air to see if you got blow bye or bad rings its kind of a redneck thing but ive used plenty of times before and it works

yes i think that would work but i would think a leak at 125 psi may not appear other than 500psi or whatever the thing makes just a thought

if your rings are broken or has lots of blow bye 110 or 120 psi wont even begin to slow down can actually hear the air blowing through there. if the rings are good will have blow back.done this lots on caterpiller 3512's looking for bad rings
