Got an offer on my AC 920D so I'm in the market for a decent used 4X4 compact tractor.
Gonna have to be cheap, around $2k.
Iv'e seen Kubotas and a Ford for about that, and don't want an off brand.
I'd like diesel, 3pt hitch, front pto, and need a mower. Cab would be a plus. I have a snoblower now and would like another one, but blade would be OK.
So what should I look for and stay away from?

 

You wont get all of that for under 2 grand

 

I have seen some Kubotas for that. I remembered I have a buddy selling JD's, I'm going to see him about used ones, but it looks like I'm at least 2 1/2 times that.
I'm in no rush, I can look until spring. Might just have to borrow a little.

 

Your lookin at $5000 and up if you find a bargain in what your describing here. I think you'll be hard pressed to find it under $7G's to be totally honest but I wish ya luck on it because if you do find it I'm gonna get a hold of you and pay you a commission to find my next one.

I'm in no hurry, and don't have to have a shiny, near new one. I'll keep my eyes open and let my buddy know I'm looking, plus keep an eye on the sales, etc.

 

Sometimes you can get lucky at an auction but it takes your time to go to all of em so your there when it happens and you have to have cash in hand.
