I don't believe the stock turbo is 66mm. If there were both 66mm they can have different pitches in the wheel which flow different amounts of air.

true about the pitch...even cast vs billet or 5 blade vs 6 blade vs 7 blade vs 10 blade.....just saying sometimes you would be surprized what can be done inside a stock housing

You can do whatever you want to the wheels but the center section can only take so much and that is about 25psi.

So just how many modded stock chargers have you built that later put down 450hp... I will not even go to the 500hp level.

You may know a thing or two about the 5.9, but from your few posts in this thread its quite clear you know nothing about the 7.3...

The OP wants 450-500hp, NO stock type charger is going to make that level... a 38R will do it, but at 450-500hp its at its limit as well.

An Hx50 is a good tough turbo that quite a few people have run on 7.3's... I really love my Modded H2e.

Anything with a T4 or T-4i mid frame mounting kit is what you really want to go with for that level.

call up Brian at Black Widow Diesel and talk to him about a turbo set up, he's a great guy to work with, and if you have the cash he can build you a twin set up
