Default Check Engine Light

Since I installed the TS Programmer, my check engine light comes on when I mash the pedal, then it will go off after a few minutes...

Can anyone help me understand what is going on? The TS Programmer is Off-the-Shelf Tunes and I don't have aftermarket injectors.

More then likely its an overboost code or a ICP pressure code...

Do you have gauges?

Edit...

Watch your boost gauge, if you see over 22psi then the truck will defuel and set a SES light...

Does it do it in the lower settings or only in the higher settings?

I have not checked to see if the check engine light comes on at lower settings...

Yes, I have gauges and it does show going over 22 psi...

Is this something I should address and fix? If it's trying to defuel then it's losing power, right?

Overboost Annihilator

Right there is the fix for your issue... I have installed 15 or more over the years.

Clay at RiffRaff has one as well...

Joe posted the link, basically it's a regulator that prevents the map sensor from seeing boost over a set amount therefore not setting the check engine light and defueling the motor.
