Default Couple questions on EBPV removal

Im removing my ebpv from the ol stroker in the near future, due to the fact its pukeing oil. I have ordered a non-ebpv pedistal from Beans Diesel..

my questions:
1: do i need to remove the ebpv housing from the turbo to gut the valve and shaft?
2: is there 1 or 2 holes left in the housing when i remove the shaft that need plugged, and wich method works best to plug them, 20mm freeze plugs or taping the hole to accept a 1/2npt pipe plug?

I think they make a high flow outlet that you could use to remove the valve itself...

Here is the link..Riffraff Diesel: Garrett High Flow Outlet

RiffRaff is a sponsor here so if you have any questions about that part, you could post up in their section...

It's a great place for a pesky leak, therefore many people get rid of it.

And yes, EBPV = Exhaust Back Pressure Valve
