straight pipe 4" turbo back no cat or muffler- stock exit location nice and loud but you dont hear it in the cab. you know as well as i do it gets hard to hear on the interstate with just the soung of the engine its cool at first (stacks) then it starts to get annoying. just my 2 cents.

i agree with jakobenglang on that one. i had a singal 6inch stack on my last truck it sounded awesome but on long drives it would get really anoyying.

What do you mean?

Turbo back includes a downpipe.
Cat back doesn't include downpipe and just starts from catalytic converter. (I can't remember if the SD trucks have them or not..)
Straight pipe doesn't have muffler or cat.
I would do straight pipe. I think that straight pipe is a nice tone for these trucks.

like a jet? put a bigger turbo on it. my friends sounded like a damn 747 taking off, but he had an aftermarket turbo boosting 80psi at wide open throttle. but i dont think the 7.3 will take that much boost with out head studs an bigger injectors.

Straight pipe will give you the turbo sound you want... But it's probably going to be less than you want...
