Default 2000, F-250 w/ 5" lift, help needed

Hey I have a 2000 f250 w/5 inch lift, in need of new shocks for the front and back due to the fact that the ones that came with the truck are shot. I have been looking at the Bilstein 5150 series. However, they come in various lengths and I am not sure what to purchase. Any help with different brands, size of travel and places of purchase is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Measure the length of your shocks when sitting at rest. Then order from them the ones that fit, if not give them a call.

The 5150's are some of the best shocks you can get for our trucks.

Fronts are 22.25 stock, 5" lift puts them around 27.25, BF5-A197-H0 is 27.9"

Rears are 30.75 stock, 5" puts them at 35.75", BF5-A198-H0 and BF5-A198-H1 are 35" difference is in the valving.

Hope that helps

5150 or the Rancho 9000XL, if it's the right rancho you'll know it's about as large around as a soda pop can and runs about 15" of travel

a few thing can depend on what kind of articuation you want your wheel to have in off roading applications or if its just for driving how compressable do you want them a good brand of shocks to fit your everyday no matter what you are doing is going to be an adjustable shock like the ones that i have being the mx6 from procomp as far as articulation thats up to you as joe said measure the length of shock when sitting at rest and then take off your sway bars n put it up on a hydraulic lift like the ones at a muffler shop and measure at full length this should give you somewat of a good idea on how long you need hope this helps in someway just remember to rebolt your swaybars when done can lead to a horrible rollover
