I have a buddy with an 02 powerstroke, he has an edge juice with attitude on it, and every once in awhile when he starts the truck the edge screen will be black and he will have a check engine light on, then after alittle while of driving it the check engine goes off and the edge screen will come on and work. It doesnt do it everytime but it does it every once in a awhile, he has no clue what the code is because the screen wont work to get the code when its there and he doesnt have any other means of getting the code at the time. Has anyone had any problems like this, or things to check. The chip has been pulled off then put back on a couple times with the same problem, and he has had it sent to edge to get looked at about a year ago and came back with the same problem.

 

check all the wires and connections, if they all check out fine i'd call edge again and tell them to fix it again, sooner or later they'll just send you a whole new one, honestly i'd ditch the edge and have him go with a ts style and get custom tunes on it, i got mine from KT Performance for around 300 bucks and i can beat a 7.3 with stacked edges (evo stacked with a juice w/attitude)

 

thats his plan but to leave the juice on for the gauge options and to stack it with a chip, he had the evo stacked on it in the past and someone stole his programmer out of his truck, so he had no way to put it back to stock, and the dealer just replaced a few injectors in his truck and they reflashed it back to stock with out telling him. He has wanted a 6 pos chip for awhile but with my understanding with the evo downloaded on it, and trying to put chip on it, it will fry the pcm, I have had a buddy do that in the past somehow trying to stack something, but I think ill tell him to just pull the edge off and send it back mean while get the 6 pos chip and see when the edge comes back if they can fix it.

 

I'd check powers and grounds, make sure they are good.

 

I'd send it back to Edge and have them go over it again.
