i just pulled my dash apart and found a good place to mount it that had room behind for the wire and stuff and drilled the hole.
takes more time to find a good spot, than anything else, the install is a snap.
mine was on a 95 but it was right next to the cubby hole on the right side of the steering column

When you look at the switch you will see a small allen head screw in the bottom of the ****. Remove it and the **** will come off. Then you will see a nut (brass) and the "stud" you need to drill for. Be careful as there is a limiter ring under that brass nut that keeps the switch at 6 settings.

Drill the hole ( I think its 1/4" but don't quote me) and then push the switch thru from the back side. Put the nut on, tighten it down snugly and reinstall the ****. Its not hard at all.

Years and years of doing it wrong... Years and years of working on them... Years and years of reading these forums...

Not to mention about 60k in parts for all of them over the years...

I try not to think about that part...

Thanks!
