Turbo Question

I have a 99 7.3 and want to build more boost. Some guys told me to un hook the waste gate? Could i get in trouble doin that? or is it okay? ideas? thx

as long as you keep it below about 25psi you should be fine.

get a boost guage, and if you see it getting close to 25psi take your foot out of it.

Disconnecting the wastegate will allow the turbo to build boost past what the PCM calls for but it will also tear up your fuel mileage at the same time .... You know the saying... If you play - expect to pay.
