Default HPOP Or Injectors first? Need some help

Hey guys, I got a 2000 7.3. I purchased the truck last year completley stock. Since then I've put a MBRP 4in. Turbo back exhaust system, Bully Doy Air Intake, ITP Boost Annihilator, and a DP Tuner F5 on it. Tunes include 1-Stock, 2 Lope Idle, 3 60hp Tow, 80hp econ, 120 race, and 140 aggressive. When I put it in the 140 hp setting I notice the truck will smoke in the lower r's and then when I get the rpm's up, I notice just a quick fall off of smoke. I'm not smoke happy by any means, and I know the turbo spooling up has a lot to do with that, but I have directed this issue to either the stock HPOP or the stock split shots. So winter is here and the truck sits due to the salt on the roads, so I'm ready to gets some **** done to this thing.

Trans mods: Somebody tell me what they think the best brands are, this truck has 85k on it so I'm gonna try build this one up so it can handle some power

You should be able to go with a stage II injector and get away with it. As far as the trans goes Suncoast makes some great products.

Whats a good brand of Stage II's I could go with? I also heard John Woods Transmissions are pretty good? Any input would be greaty appreciated. I want this truck to run 13's....So I know I'm going to need an aftermarket Turbo of somesort in addition to injectors. This truck is not lifted and will remain the stock height with the stock wheels. Running new 285/75/16 BFG A/T KO.

if your wanting 13s i think you will need more then stage 2s. i think hybrids will be better, and you can run hybrids on a stock 17. i think a modded H2E would be a good combo. i think it a toss up between the best transmission, either john wood or BTS.

What's the minimum injector size I can run, so that I can run Nitrous. I want to run nitrous. Since I do have the forged rods, I think I will be able to get away with a little spray.

13's...

BTS tranny (your not far from them so make the trip)
Hybrids 230-100% nozzles
38R with a 1.15 exhaust housing...
SWAMPS or PHP tuning...

SAFE 450-500hp set up...

Would throw some studs at it for good measure...

You do NOT need a HPO system for that HP level.

CSIPSD, could you recommend where I should buy these at? The injectors, turbo, etc...I was thinking if I bought a packaged deal somewhere I could get a discount. Also what's your opinion of those 7.3 "CFM" intakes?

I will recommend Swamps Diesel from my experience, but please post up in our sponsor forum and see if anyone there can make you a good deal too!!!

Talk to Johnathan or Dave at Swamps... Ya don't have to drop my name but I am trying to get them over here as sponsors as well!!!

The CFM intakes are a GREAT way to lighten your wallet of about $425 bucks... I can do that for you if you would like, otherwise, spend a few hours with a die grinder and clean up the factory piece, and get 99% of what ever that thing might get you.

You can also delete the intake air heater which blocks about 20% of the intake track and does nothing for cold weather start up...
