Hey I just got a pyrometer and I am wondering if I shuld hook it up befor the turbo or is it ok to hook it up after the turbo on the down pipe

If some one could help me that be great

Pre Turbo will give you a much more accurate temp reading. Post turbo could be off 200-300 degrees if not more

Drill it in the drivers side exhaust manifold just before the up pipe.

what type of pyrometer is it? thread or strap? if strap make sure you have room to get strap around. and make sure when you drill the hole it is centered and you drill small pilot and use each bit in the index up to whatever size it is

Pre turbo, be it in the exhaust manifold or in the up pipe... Here is a picture of both...



Drill and clamp...




Drill and tap...
