Default boost tubes
on the drivers side boost tube there is foil. if you take that off do u gain anything from it someone told me it helps with surge

No, I don't think it does. That's just for sound dampening. It keeps the whistle down.

Its just for sound... Remove it if you want, but you will change nothing.
