Default At what point do I need to upgrade the head studs

97 twin turbo, stage 2 injectors with propane and a php chip and 8 inch stacks is the plan. I have all the parts bought and are being assembled as we speak. But at what point should I start reinforcing the engine like head studs and girdles? Any other supporting mods suggested I'd be happy to hear.

Thanks

Ditch the propane... Its great for cooking steak, bad for motors.

Whats your HP goal?

My hp goal is loose as it has been throught the project. I've been wanting a big bad diesel since I was young when my grandfather brought home a f250. I just want as much as possible without breaking the bank more than I already have. I'll definitely look into new head studs. Arp? Or? Anything else I should check into to squeeze some more horses out of this truck? The reason why I decided on propane instead of nitrous is because I had a spare turbo around so I figure I could get some more boost and then push extra fuel too. A buddy of mine got a ton of power from his propane setup and has been using it for some time now with no problem.

Go with nitrous over propane, not everybody will have the same "luck". With stage 2's you won't need head studs, just a fuel system, HPOP, and a turbo upgrade would do good. The stage 2's are good for 400-450 RWHP.
