I wait at least 30 seconds before turning off my truck & my 1999 F-250 7.3 never had a turbo problem when I sold it at 141,000 miles

My Truck has 223K Original everything except exhaust manifold. I Have an EGT Guage And wait for it to hit 400 Degrees it doesn take very long 30 sec to a minute, maybe. Yes letting you oil cool the turbo down is a good idea, but its more neccesary for long hauls or if you foot is always to the floor. But if you want go ahead, you just wont see me with one
