Trans Rebuilds will depend on how you drive it and the current condition of your transmission...

If you drive it like a raped ape with an intake exhaust and chip, you could still wreck your tranny... If your worrried about it, don't drive like a nut and do the mods you want to do.

Lol... My uncle's father in law just had his 01 auto go out at around 70k stock... According to my paperwork, my trucks tranny went out at around 160k stock... They are just a weak link.

Again... I think you might be overthinking it... With a chip, intake, and exhaust, you won't be pushing much more than 220-230 rwhp. Drive it respectfully and you shouldn't have a problem.

You have to remember I have a 2001 which came from the factory with a mechanical diode in the tranny, they were known for failure issues.

My 95 never had the tranny go out in over 200k, my 97 lasted until 120k and then until 270 when I sold it. My 99 was at about 170k when I broke the rear drive shaft and that took out the tranny case.
