I'm a fan of technology, and beg to differ. The human can not control tire speed nearly as fast as an advanced computer can. Especially not in emergency panic situations.
I'll agree that I can't pump the brakes as fast as a computer, but without abs I have the ability to lock them up if I feel the need

And why does this benefit you, to lock up your brakes? Not being a smarty, merely inquiring.

then your not refering to the crap systems on most domestics, i personally hate it when the truck has more control on my breaking then i do, when i press the brakes i want the truck to stop and not have to worry about the computer thinking "oh it's a little slippery out i'll pulsate the breaks to the point they do nothing at all" when i'm coming to a busy intersection. abs is for women. i am glad they have a fuse to pull. thats always the first mod.

My hummer had some of the best brakes I've EVER driven, including offroad. And my volkswagen brakes are hands down some of the. Best brakes I've ever driven too. My cummins brakes sucked and were scary. All of my Ford brakes have always been amazing, minus my '89 5.0

i was refering to the abs, not the actual breaking system, and in snow or ice whice i see lots of abs sucks. and don't get me started on fox body 5L breaks, i have owned a few, i have two right now, one of them is swapped over to 5 lug 4 wheel disks from a 2000 gt. the other i'm building for drag.

Because if I'm about to hit somthing I wanna scrub off as much speed as possible, plus if I lock her down I can spin around and hit rear end first rather than head on. Now hopefully I never feel the need, but I like the Idea of having the option.

You're absolutely right, lives of people with average to poor driving skills.
