Default My truck supposedly has ABS... but it NEVER kicks in...

So I have seen the orange ABS light on my dash during startup... yet when we were hit with some good snow the other night and I would hit the brakes, not matter hard or soft, the abs would NOT kick in. Wtf gives?

Really?? I hate not having abs. It sucks *** in the snow, it turns out. I hate not being able to turn unless I let off the brake and ease back in, and I hate not having the control I'm used to.

Turns out these generation of strokers use a Rabs valve... if it senses the rear tires locking, it releases pressure and puts all the pressure to the front tires...

But I heard you blew the HG up in your new 12v jake

I'm a fan of technology, and beg to differ. The human can not control tire speed nearly as fast as an advanced computer can. Especially not in emergency panic situations.

I've heard it's not truly abs, but that it uses a Rabs valve? Where when the system detects the rear tires locking up, it drops all line pressure to the rears and puts it towards the fronts?
