Default Question For The Ford Guy's

I love the 95-98 7.3l. Am a dodge guy, but am gettin ready to buy a exstend cab long bed 7.3. Because i just cant turn this deal down for the truck. Question, could'nt i make my own twins for a 7.3l, like a bigger chager then stock.

if you are good at fabrication you can build anything. you just need the suporting mods for compounds.

Whats your budget? Whats your goals?...

I would look into a Procharger set up myself if I had the cash.

the price for preformance mods are alot more then a cummins, $2000 wont get you very much. guages, chip, intake and exhuast, maybe a set of injectors.

$2000 won't buy the injectors you'd need to actually use the compounds.

whats up? i have a '96 powerstroke with a 5 speed in. it does the job for now but i have to pull alot of weight for long distances with this truck and would really like a 6 speed. pullin the trans and putting a new back in is no problem for me, but i dont know if a 6 speed from a newer 7.3 L will bolt up or if i will need an adapter plate for some reason. or if there will be any other issues with the transfer case or mounting or anything like that??

yea, i've never done it, It will take some custom fabrication cuz it's a little tight under the hood and ya might have to clearance the firewall for the DP, but 7.3 powerstrokes have a good amount of cubic inch displacement and will easily spool a big single turbo. good luck!!
