Hey man I have a 1996 7.3 with the Banks Turbine housing, they call it a quick spool housing. It works good in my experience but I bought the truck with it on it so I really dont have anything to compare it too. I do know that boost builds quicker but flattens out lower than the stock housing. It also can get hot fairly easy but again I have had no real problems with that. I do know one thing for sure the boost definetely builds very fast and comes on strong. hope this helps.

forgot i posted here. I LOVE my .84 housing. I live in a small town where i can only go 45 so i go as fast as I can. Its worth it. I build 25-28psi and run cooler while towing. 1250*and lower

I thought a smaller housing built faster but LOWER top boost and therefore INCREASED maximum egt's. I would think your small housing would be great for your small town scenario, but poor for open road towing. Do you mostly tow in town?

Nope i towed up over a 8% grade elv. over 8000ft. OD off 65mph and 1300* was the max.

The trailer was a 28ft enclosed car hauler.
