hey guys i was wondering how you can identify a stock turbo to a upgraded turbo? I have a 96 powerstroke that i bought about a year ago and my friend has the same truck and we noticed that the turbo housing on my truck was much bigger. its says garrett on the turbo.i would like to find out so thanks

 

should be an identification tag/plate of the turbo. if not its safe to assume that the larger housing is a super duty housing
