Hey hyde why would it be a a bad idea to get that turbo wouldn't it be cheaper cause we going to by the down pipes(Ats) and we have a custom intake that will fit the ats. Or do you think by the time we get done going threw all that it would have been cheaper to just by the hole (Ats kit)???

Any complete IDI turbo kit will fit any IDI motor. Some of the kits have different parts, but all were designed to fit the same motor. The average price of a complete used turbo kit on CL is $500, saw 3 of them for that price last year.

Thanks mang! There are a lot of good guys on here though, but back to the wastegate. I wouldnt block it off. To get more boost loosen the wastegate nut and shorten the rod. I would only go a few turns at a time till you get the results you want.

When I adjusted mine I only went 3 turns at a time and then test drove it. It took me 9 turns to get 10psi, but I have some exhaust leaks so it may go up when they are fixed.

I wouldnt try for 15 till you get head studs. Some guys get away with it, some dont. As much as you guys pull loads I'd leave it where its at to be on the safe side till you stud it. Trucks runnin awesome as usual mang
