Default value of parts

thinking about buying a 90 model with a n/a 7.3 and a 5 speed for 400 bucks. i want the trans and all the goodies to swap my auto to man. the body is beat up real bad but the engine runs and the rear is leak free. what kind of money is the motor and the rear end worth?

I dont know what they would be worth but for sure but would be willing to bet that you could make your money back on just the motor alone, given you come across someone needing one and the rear diff would prob I would guess about idk $100-$150 but not for sure on that one again depending on who needs it and how bad.

you probably cant sell the rear end. i have 4 of them here i cant sell a single one for dirt. the sterlings are not desirable at all. they dont make gears for them and no one wants them.

as for the 7.3 IDI. i have one for sale locally for 500 bucks that runs great and ive had it for sale for a month. unfortunately they dont sell like cummins parts do.

seems to me if you want the tranny that bad it would be well worth it and also depends on how hard things are to find in your neck of the woods that old supply & demand question

ya you could at least get your money back. i have all my dash pieces and gauge clusters and stuff on ebay and that always helps the cash flow a little bit. you should at least be able to get your money back no problem
