Lots of money down the drain real unhappy right now hope they make this right Quickly.
Did you do a quick learn on the tranny with a scanner, when putting a co-pilot in or, swapping co-pilots it needs to be done, it doesnt matter how long you unhook the battery cables for, it will do the same thing, it just does a quick reset on the tcm, but everything will still be stored just not active. I swapped co-pilots out this weekend, and my stock tranny is doing the exact same thing yours is, wont go into 5th or 6th, shifts into 4th, but any throttle then neutral just like yours, if I can bump the throttle a couple times and get the tc to lock while its in 4th, then it will stay in 4th and not act like netreul. I didnt have this problem until I swapped co-pilots without dong a relearn, thats why i am thinking your tranny is fine just the tcm is acting up because of no relearn, I will be heading to the dealer in about 30 min to do a relearn on mine, and ill let you know if it fixes the problem, if not, please let me know what ats finds out when you send your tranny back.

I was going to install it the first time but after reading thier warrenty disclaimer I decided I would have an ats dealer shop install it all. I am just hoping When I pick it up monday it works right!
Ken is doing your work right, like I mentioned to the op, make sure they do a relearn on the tranny after its installed, it takes like 5 min to do with the proper scanner.

just got back from doing a bunch of tests with a starscan and when mine does the hole neutral thing after shifting into 4th its throwing a p0734 fault code in the tcm, I cant remember what the code exactly is but speed difference ratio in 4th gear, which tracing the code and doing the tests, it could be multiple things wrong but in my case overdrive clutches are smoked, and wont hold at all doing the clutch slip tests. So ill be puling my tranny probably tonight and tear into it, and be ordering an ats tranny.

Yea I had the quick learn done before the truck ever moved they charged me 140.00 to do it. Clutches were smoked on mine too both the stock tranny and the ATS one did the same thing. Those under and over drive clutches are the weak link specially if you have added HP and torque. The problem is addressed by the co pilot by adding more pressure to those clutch packs to keep them from slipping. The ATS tranny also has a better clutch material and more surface area on those clutches but if the co pilot does not raise the pressure like it is supposed to do they will still smoke. I think stock pressure to clutch pack is like 150 and the co pilot brings it up to like 280. The problem is the co pilot is not working on all trucks think it has something to do with all the different flashes that our tcm's have and they are trying to make it work regardless of what flash you have. I should have my new tranny and new co pilot by this Friday will have it in this weekend if so I too will keep you all updated.

wow thats a rip off, it takes more time to plug the scanner in and let it communicate to the truck then it does to do a relearn, but if it takes them more then 10min to hook up and do the relearn then they must not know what they are doing the actual relearn takes about 30 seconds. My dealer is awsome, they have a spare star scan since they updated to all the wireless stuff so i can borrow it when ever I want, and use any of there service manuals or specialty tools.

Not sure whats going on yet. Had a stereo put in truck right before the problem with the tran started and it had a u1403 code along with the p0700 code so they think changing the radio might have something to do with it. Sounds like bull to me took the truck to dodge dealer and they said the trans line pressure sensor is bad which caused low pressure in the trans which smoked the clutch packs. Now the engineers at ATS want to talk with the tech at my Dodge dealer so round and round we go. Will see what happens.

Man That blows! I hate Getting the run around. So did they send you the updated co-pilot? I know thats the code that kept coming up when i had the original cp, is the low line pressure. Also do you know what flash is on your truck? the other day my tranny started to make some clunking noises and doin some hard downshifts at the wrong times. thought i would have to deal with getting another tranny. after I shut it down went and did some shopping, started it up and has drove fine for the past 3 days. So I guess time will tell.

I tried unhooking copilot and cleared codes same thing. Still waiting to here from Ats they are checking into it what ever that means. I just want my truck to go down the road and roll some coal now and then. Have no idea what flash I have but ATS has not asked so I guess they are not worried about it. Tomorrow makes another week with out a ride its been broke 6 out of the last 8 1/2 weeks. 70,000 dollar boat anchor. I'll let you know what happens.
