Mine was done when Garretts was the first time, and yes it was fire ringed as was mine, mine is leaking again his is holding but he did retorque it. My whole motor is coming out soon at his shop and getting rebuilt with coated pistons, different rods and a different head. Kmk can you give me some info on the gasket you are running? Just PM me if you get a chance I might be willing to test out a different gasket my truck will be pulling big time this year.

Ill try to get some pics taken of the gasket and get them posted later today, but just a pretty basic gasket, 3 layer, with the center layer being the thickest, fire rings are cut out of the gasket, and have rings to set in place, just like a oring/firering pretty much except not grooves are cut, the gasket will hold the rings in place, iirc the rings are .010" thicker then the gasket, and like others have seen with fire rings, I will more then likely have to retorque a couple times. I cant remember the guys name that built the gasket for me, i would have to look in my emails. He has run them on a few 5.9s with great results, and runs them on the dt466 motors also.

Default 6.7 heads

I replaced my head gasket and it was good for one trip pulling a trailer. Then started blowing water into tank again. I have all deletes and H&S on it. If I run with tuner turned to low my milage sucks if I run on high it is good. but everytime I hammer down I blown out water but it doesnt over heat 205 is max temp. I use it for work and always have a trailer behind me How can I fix this once and for all!!!!

No the gasket I took off looked fine but I have no boostr gauge or anything like that. Is there a chance the head is cracked or something other than the gasket.

when my gasket blew i had .012 taken off my head to get it flat. they can check for cracks too. you will find it warped a little.

So bad head gasket design and you guys are seeing cracked and un-flat heads too? Just trying to learn, you guys are now in the same boat with most 6.0 owners (not me)
