Default exhaust

I'm trying to help my brother in law I've read some posts on here but am not familiar with newer cummins. He has been quoted around a grand to do the exhaust talkin 4 or 5 inch straight pipe but I got mine from Luke's for 300 for my 98. I'm just trying to find the best performance for the least buck. I know you got to fool the sensors I just need to know everything I need to do and where to get it without killing the wallet. thanks it's an 07 6.7

this is just my personal opinion, i went with a 5" exhaust kit on my 08, i bought the h&s mini maxx programmer to over ride the codes. you can look up h&s which offers several different exhaust kits and fooler sims instead of buying the programmer which will be cheaper but from what i understand is not error proof like running the programmer. you should get in contact with lucas at dieseldawgs performance, he helped me out with buying a package deal with programmer and exhaust. if you go with the programmer you are looking at around a grand or a little more. once again jst my personal opinion. and i can say, after deletes the peroformance is the difference in night and day with the way the truck runs.

We can set him up with a nice package with an exhaust and tuner for under $1,000.

Default Cheap

I went real cheap on mine... I put a smarty on mine which isnt cheap but with the deletes, I went down the the exhaust shop and for 20 bucks got them to cut a piece of 4in pipe, took a plasma cuter and cut the triangle bracket and drilled holes in some steel and welded it to the pipe making an instant threw pipe where the filters and such came out... From the down pipe.

thinking about going to a 5' turbo back professional one but this one has served me well for some time
