Yeah, it would. But you don't know my friend. It was part of the kit from the Diesel Mech. Actually, he drove the truck for well over a year with the lift pump out. Then the injector pump. Don't ask how, I have no idea why he never got stranded. He didn't figure it out till in the winter when it was cold his top speed was 15 mph no matter how hard he mashed the peddle. The diesel shop was telling him horrors of the VP44 and praising the CR system which was the next model year up from his. Which brought up the idea of finding a rolled or totaled 03-07 5.9 and swapping to the Common rail. Which would work if we took all of it including the block to put in his. But my other friend (the John Deere Diesel Mech) talked us out of it. And Chris needed his truck as it was his only vehicle he couldn't wait 2 or 3 weeks for us to figure out sensors and electronics. I couldn't imagine him putting an auxiliary gauge in that truck anyways, he almost threw a fit just cutting a whole in his dash for the warning light.

I personally like gauges. I know whats going on. I hate my car has no oil gauge, only a dummy light.
