Default EGR & DPF Deletes

I did these deletes on my pickup. And am very Happy with the results. The one thing I have noticed now tho, is that there's a stong diesel smell when truck is cold, no smoke just strong diesel smell. It's not a problem I work around Diesel Equip.for a living. It just suprised me that the DPF took the smell out of the exhast. Guess it just go's to show how restricitive these things are.

Anyone else think the exhaust stunk with the dpf on? I can smell the familiar diesel smell now with it all off, but when it was stock it smelled putrid to me. Even my Ex wife didn't like the way it smelled when it was new.

My truck only went into a mandatory regen once and I'll second the "on fire" smell.

I went with the 4" H&S turbo back exhast with a aero turbine muffler, also did the egr delete, shibby intake & banks intercooler all at the same time..gained about 4 to 4.5 mpg, not sure how much of that was from just exhast
