Default h&s unit

Does't the H&S unit have the same EGR system delete? as the smarty? everything I read said they were about the same.

The EPA is about to grab us diesels by the ***** in 2013 EVERYWHERE. Just i was about to do my deletes next month I hear of this from a friend that owns an emissions shop. I'm trying to get a better understanding of the Tuner/DPF/EGR combo so correct me accordingly. Now, the tuner is a plug-n-play straight into your OBD II port, right? And that clears the codes that arise from DPF/ EGR deletes. Now, when they go to test a truck, they are going to have to unplug the tuner from the port and run the truck's computer. If the tuner is what clears those codes what stops the computer from throwing them again, or is there no way to pass? Will there be a certain amount of time the truck can run before the codes will throw? He told me that for each vehicle to pass theres conditions that must be met. He said you can usually meet 6 of the 8 conditions and the truck will pass. I didnt get major details but i know one of them is once you clear a code the truck has to be driven a certain amount of mileage (usually around 100 miles) Please add any comments/ experiences with this you have. I'm thinking that if I do these deletes now I'm going to regret it later with getting an emissions test in 2 years.

thy arent hard to do i just totaly returned mine to stock to get warantee work done took about 3 hours thats a 5" turbo back exhaust, full egr delete and afe intake system also took out my h&s mini max.

as to getting your truck to pass emissions you can install the H&s or smarty tune and then remove the tuner it totally reprograms the truck not to look for the egr or dpf so if you remove it there are no codes to clear and you shouldnt have any problems. but i dont know what they will be looking for when they are plugged in and doing the smog check but i bet as soon as they get that info out the tuner guys will get out a new update to beat it.

I Have a 2007.5 6.7l cummins with full dpf delete, running a h&s mini max, i deleted my egr the other other day but left the cooler on, i noticed today while driving when my turbo gets to spinning at about 1800+ rpm's i hear a odd sounding whistle coming from the engine bay, sounds like it's near the egr block off plate. Does anyone have a clue what it is, or how to fix this??

good to know, i'm about to do the same kit on mine. i've looked all over the internet to try and find if people were satisfied and all everyone said was "shipped on time" and generic crap like that when i looked at kits. so you say you're very happy and its well worth the money. but my question is, the power increase. is it put your butt in your seat kinda power increase?
