CAI ???
Just curious as to what everybody with the 6.7s is running for cold air intakes. Anybody had any problems with dirty sensors/codes thrown running an oil type filter like ones in the K&N or S&B?
Thanks,
Jim

No problems I have a 07 1/2 with 14,000 miles on it with the Airaid. It has a noticable power gain with no problems at all. I have been reading some of the problems people have been having with this truck. I took a few long trips with mine and averaged 21 to 22 per gallon 695 miles to a tank!

In a 6.7? Do you have a DPF delete? Is that hand calculated or is that what the overhead is telling you?---AutoMerged DoublePost---
I average 11 in town, and 14 highway. Just over 15,000 miles, 4wd, 2 1/2 inch lift, 35 inch tires, 6 speed manual. Amsoil synthetic lube throughout.

My mother in law keeps pestering me about what I want for christmas. I am the grinch, but she wont leave me alone. I told her she can get me the new K&N 6.7 Cummins drop in filter. They just came out with it a few weeks ago. It is only $75 from Summit. So far it is the only aftermarket filter only replacement. I want the Injen/Amsoil CAI, but that mother is over $600!
Actually aFe has had a drop in that fits. I believe that it is the same as the late 5.9, so it's been around for a while. I alternate the aFe and the K&N. I have a gutted intake tube and a hole cut in the bottom of the stock air box. I found that the K&N is quieter while pulling on the highway. Both provide an increase in throttle response and about 1 MPG increase in fuel mileage. With the EGR unplugged my truck is getting 20 +/- .5 on the highway locked on cruise at 110 KPH in 2wd running empty.
