dpf ?
You could get the DPF delete, which for a limited time the stage I is $500 and the stage II is $600, and cut the DPF in half where the weld marks are. Install the DPF delete, gut the DPF, and weld the 2 halves around the delete pipe. Nobody would know the difference.
or if you lack a welder, some way to secure said filter whilst you use a wrecking bar to "clean" it out a little MIGHT work (hypothetically speaking) little air hose action after to make sure you didnt leave any dust in there and your all good.
We had a customer beat his out to hollow it out. traded the truck in and the sales department did not know it was hollow. CEL was on and the sales dept did not want to spend the CRAP load of money to have it replaced. took it to the auction to sell it! LOL
I just ordered my stage II from Rollin Smoke Diesel. The $600 for the stage II deal over. I had to pay the $650. Good guy to deal with. The kit should be here monday. So when I return home from Louisiana in 2 weeks, I have alot of work to do. Drain and flush my Transmission and T Case, and refill with Amsoil. My current mileage is 11 city, 14-15 highway, while towing my truck and trailer I am seeing 8 and 9 mpg. In 3 1/2 weeks I am going driving to Minnesota for christmas with a mattress and boxspring in the bed. I am expecting 20 MPG highway at 65.
the delete kit comes with sims to fool your ecm so you dont need a chip, however to see 20 mpg you might have to have a programmer. my truck stock with the dpf delete and egr blocked gets a hand calculated 16 and with the h&s xrt and tsmp8 on high almost 20 daily driving bout half highway half in town.
