Default dpf installed

i installed my dpf kit tonight all went well i dont have a programmer yet but after driving it 5 miles a check engine light came on and the center messege displayed service needed see dealer is that a common thing ?

what kit did you put on if its a gen 1 then yes did you unplug the plug on the side of the tranny

h&s 5 inch turbo back ....the plug on the side of the tranny is that where the to lines go into??

yeah that one prob the one that was a pain to get off man i was cussing mine. but any way you can prob pick up a bd powerpup to clear the codes until you want to get a edge or pmt or sumthin the power pup will clear the overhead but not the check engine light the edge and the pmt will both clear both the light and the overhead that over head will get annoying if you dont clear it think it dings every 10 minutes of driving.

yup that is the one that took me a while alsobut i plan on getting an edge here soon

yeah after you get the edge in you can plug that plug backin and clear the check engine light and the overhead code

ok now i got egr plates with it but where can i get a plug to plug the hole and for right now iv herd of guys just unpluging the egr valve ?

yeah it seems to be running fine besides the check engine light witch i can deal with for now

I think you might like the XRT from H&S better than the Edge or the Smarty look into these before you buy an Edge. My check engine light is always on even with the Edge and I think it is because of the EGR delete I did. H&S XRT does not have any codes at all.
