Default Should I Or Shouldn't I

I bought a Edge Juice Attitude programmer for my 6.7 cummins. It has 10,000 miles on it and is Stock except for a S&B cold air kit & took off muffler, but now I"m not to sure if I want to put it on..I've had enough trouble with the emission stuff allready & wondering if the programmer might cause more. Do's it help to put more power in if the Exhast is dog knotted. should I wait till somebody comes out with better exhast system? Not to sure about the dpf deletes, To me they sort of sound like another can of worms Any and All comments will be greatly appreciated

First off welcome to diesel bombers.Second, does your truck still have your warrenty since you took off your muffler?Or did the dealership leave the warrenty alone. In some cases it's not a good idea to add more power if the exhaust is notted up,it causes the e.g.t.'s to rise.As for dpf's,i hate those things.I work for peterbuilt and usually were dealing with dpf's on trucks quite a bit.I'm sure there is some one else here that has better info on this than i do.And again, welcome.

Thanks, have had it in a few times for oil changes nobody has said anything. think I"m safe as long as I leave the cat & dpf alone. Bet you work alot on the new Cat Engines hear their as much of a problem child as the 6.7's

Adding more power may make more soot quicker and cause you to go into regen more often. Of course this will put your mileage even further in the toilet. There are guys running it with the factory exhaust in place though and I haven't heard too many complaints...
I've done the deletes to my truck and yes there are some issues but they are minor and the mileage gain makes it well worth it....

I have an 08 6.7 and i did the egr removal kit and the dpf delete kit and then did the rest of the mods. I am running the Edge Juice and mine runs great, blows black smoke and runs like a diesel should. I dont use my truck to drag race or sled pull all its used for is towing and personal pleasure like cruisin. I hope that helps let me know if you have any other questions.
