I did the home made PSM style airbox mod, Cool Hose, and an AFE PG7 drop in.
Works great

Installing the S&B kit this afternoon. Went for $289 plus shipping, I'll let you know how it works. The install looks real simple.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Threw the S&B kit on last night, my thoughts are as follows:

Actually a really easy install, stock setup came out really quick, new kit installs really easily as well. Took maybe 40 mins, give or take. It's a very slick looking intake, and with that little clear window where the hi-flow filter is visible, looks all high performance and what not, for lack of a better term.

All I've got performance wise on the truck are this intake and a 5" Magnaflow DPF back exhaust, as I'm trying to keep within the CA smog laws. Noticed an immediate change in throttle response, and the turbo sound is a little more prominent as well. Didn't notice a change in MPG around town, but it jumped a bit on the highway. Pre intake I got about 16 on the same stretch of road, got 17.4 today. I'll take it!

Overall, not a total bank breaker that will in time (maybe a while) will pay for itself, and it does come with a noticeable performance boost. I dig it so far. Check engine light did come on however, hoping that goes away once the computer gets used to a little more air.
