take it back to the dealer and make them fix it or give you another truck.

Default 2007 6.7L

Well another repair in February for the same problem. I arrived to the dealership and was informed that a engineer from Dodge was there. The engineer looked at it for over 4 hours and could not fix the problem, was told to bring it back the next day. Returned the next day and they kept it for 8+ hours, finally got it fixed again.

12 days later the check engine light (same problem) took it back and began the process of a buy back. Today 3/20/2008 got a call and was informed that I would be getting back most of my down payment + TTL and payments, minus $0.175 per mile on the truck. I just went over 5400 miles and about to return it to the dealership and get my check.

During this process I discovered that there are people all over the U.S. having the same problem and either getting the truck replaced or money refunded.

I'm going to close this one. Sounds like the problem is taken care of.

Once every month and twice in December the check engine light came on, and on February 26, 2008 when I was driving into the dealership the engine started shaking and the truck would not start again. The dealership keeps telling me it is the emmissions system, I have had it repaired 8 times and I have lost all confidence in my new truck. Can anyone give me advice on what I need to do?
get rid of your emissions problem by gettin rid of the emissions?? just a thought your truck will love you

Just in case anyone else has the problem. Mine has been running emission free for 10 months. Wouldn't trade it for anything. You don't need to hammer on it daily, you need to allow it to breath. And keep the soot out of it. Too bad he couldn't have done the deletes before they bought it back, I think he would have had a much different opinion of the truck.

Ha Ha Ha!!! Like we don't get enough EGR and DPF talk on the other 87 threads. I was kind of hoping to learn something different about the 6.7 over here!

It doesn't matter where you go, the trucks are still the same. The only difference is in the smilies........

Ya, your right. And beside, the truck is really great without emissions, so I guess I will have to wait a long time to find another problem that I can learn about. Not such a bad problem to have, is it Dodgezilla?
