Help With My 2007 6.7 L.

Hello,

I need some help, I purchased by new 2007 Dodge 2500, Quad Cab, 4x4, 6.7L in September of 2007. I have only put 4700 miles on the truck and on February 26, 2008 I took it to the dealership where I purchased the vehicle for the 8th time. Once every month and twice in December the check engine light came on, and on February 26, 2008 when I was driving into the dealership the engine started shaking and the truck would not start again. The dealership keeps telling me it is the emmissions system, I have had it repaired 8 times and I have lost all confidence in my new truck. Can anyone give me advice on what I need to do?:sos:

How do you drive it? Is it allot of stop and go easy driving or do you get it out and beat on it for a while? If you are babying it on short trips them I can see the DPF plugging up. They told one of our local guys to load his heavy and run the eyeballs out of it when it starts getting slugish to let the system clean itself. There are companies out there that can do away with that stuff but dont let the dealer know about it.lol

Sounds to me like it's time for them to honor the Lemon Law. If a vehicle goes back for the same problem more then so many times in the first year, don't remember the exact number but it's far less then eight, then they are required to do a buy back or replace it.

Has to go back 32 times for the same problem, at least that was what it was in 03 when I had my S10.

Holly cow, here in Illinos it's like 4 times or somethin like that.

Local guys had a new 6.4 that had issues like this. I agree with Dazed, get out and romp on it once and a while, it helped the 6.4. Between the turbo sticking and the dpf plugging up, getting it good and hot for a while seems to do them a world of good.

Yeah and it has to be the exact same problem and not a variation of it.

There was guy on the gmfullsize.com that had the same issues with his truck. Dodge bought it back from him and he went a 07 with the trusty 5.9
