6.7 Fuel filter change?

Default 6.7 Fuel filter change?

I have a 2011 6.7 diesel and it is time to change thefuel filter. Is it hard to do?

I'm pretty sure it's just like the old 24 valve get a weather stick the rn of it in the top take lid off pull off old filter and snap one in and put back in I'm doing mine tomorrow

do you have to fill the canister with diesel before you screw it back in. I was told you have to but its a pain in the ****.

no....its a self priming system. The diesel you pour into the canister is not filtered. Filling it first would allow unfiltered fuel into the engine....

You will just have to crank it a little bit, after you cycle the pump a few times with the key.

they are diffrent from the 5.9. the whole canister comes off from the bottom and pop the filter out put new in after you reinstall cycle the ignition a few times should prime

depends on your year. some are spin ons, some are 5.9 style. yours being an 11 is a 5.9 style. very very easy. 1 1/8 socket on a breaker bar, do not over tighten, and replace o ring every time.

of course if it was an 08, those are easy too, reach through the fender well cut out.

I have an 09 6.7 and when I take off in first or second the truck dies so should i change the fuel filter?
